Members of WIs across the area have been given the chance to learn some life-saving skills.

The one-day course was organised by the Lincolnshire North Federation of WIs at their Horncastle headquarters and saw 12 ladies cover a range of first aid topics.

The UK falls behind other countries when it comes to first aid knowledge and the promotion of first aid is one of the resolutions on the shortlist for WIs to consider for this year’s campaign, which goes forward to be voted on at the national AGM in June.

Another first aid course has been arranged for April and is just one of many activities, events and outings arranged by the Lincolnshire North Federation which are open to members and non-members alike.
