The sixth annual awards are the only national ceremony to honour the hard work of councillors from across the country that often goes unrecognised, and Coun Colin Davie, Executive Member for Economic Development, has been nominated in the Local Growth Achievement of the Year category.

Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony, which takes place on Monday 2nd March at the Lord Mayor’s Parlour, Westminster City Council. The winners will be selected by a group of judges made up of local government experts and councillors.

Coun Colin Davie said: “It’s always humbling to be nominated for any award but I am delighted to have been shortlisted from such a high number.”

“This is an amazing statement of the positive work that all of our partners are doing here in Lincolnshire.”

Colin became a member of Lincs County Council in 2005. He was appointed to its Executive board in 2013 with responsibility for Economic Development, Environment, Strategic Planning and Tourism and he also a director of the Greater Lincolnshire LEP.
