Until Friday 13th March the Society will be promoting the range of apprenticeships available across all areas of the business, including programmes in retail, pharmacy, travel and transport.

National Apprenticeship Week started on 9th March until 13th March.

Each candidate has their own tailored and exclusive programme to follow, which teaches a unique set of skills in the workplace whilst also allowing apprentices to gain nationally recognised qualifications.

Since the scheme began in 2011, 14 apprentices have completed the programme with another 19 still undertaking their training.

Head of People and Performance Heather Lee said she was proud of the way apprentices had seized the opportunities that they were given.

Heather said: “Many of the young people who have come through our apprenticeship scheme have flourished since, whether with the Society or elsewhere.”

“They’ve proved that if you put the effort in, it’s a scheme that really allows you to reap the benefits.”

“Our apprentices are all extraordinarily hard workers.”

Young people interested in completing an apprenticeship with Lincolnshire Co-op can register their interest at http://lincolnshire.coop/BeOurApprentice and they will be contacted when apprenticeships rise.

Many former apprentices have continued to work for Lincolnshire Co-op on completion of their apprenticeship programme.

These roles include a Store Manager and a Pharmacy Dispensing Technician.
