The county’s library management system is being upgraded, making it easier for customers to find what they need.

In order to make the improvements, there will be a five-day transition period between 14th and 18th March, when customers will not be able to reserve books. search the library catalogue, pay fines, access their library account, access e-books or access e-audio books

However, they will still be able to return items, renew items, borrow items and access online resources.

To avoid any problems, the service is also extending the return date for items due back during that period to 15th April.

Jonathan Platt, county libraries and heritage manager, said: “With more and more people choosing to do things online, it’s important we make these improvements.”

“I’m sure customers will soon see the benefits.”
