The event was held at the Kenwick Park Hotel near Louth.

The Winter Ball was the idea of Louth resident Sheila Wardle whose son, Mark, is a Linkage client in the town.

The ball featured an auction, raffle and the band, Starstruck Live, and it was attended by more than 100 people.

Among the auction items were a signed ball, hat and scarf from Manchester United Football Club, which fetched £400.

Sheila commented: “I was thrilled with the outcome of the ball, helped by generous bidding in the auction and raffle ticket sales.

“It was such a success that I wanted to book a date for next year right away which will take place on Saturday, November 12, 2016, again at Kenwick Park Hotel.”

Julie Stubbs, Linkage fundraising and development manager, said: “It was a great night and raised invaluable funds to help find employment and job-coaching for our clients.
