Lions have given a roar of approval to Lifestyle 2015

The project – which has been running for more than 27 years - is open to young people aged 10 to 18 and aims to encourage teams to come together to make a difference in their community.

To encourage teams to come up with new and innovative ways of helping their community, a host of prizes, including a trip to South Africa up for grabs.

Other prizes on offer include team building adventures in Wales, track days, trips to major theme parks - including Alton Towers and Flamingo land - gift vouchers and much, much more

Lions clubs across the region have supported Lifestyle for a number of years, with member Eileen Smith playing an instrumental role in persuading individual groups to club together to provide two Lifestyle teams with a PGL team building adventure experience.

Eileen said: “The Lions are delighted to support the Humberside Police Lifestyle project again this year, as it inspires so many young people to undertake good deeds within their local communities by improving the quality of life for others, fitting perfectly with the ethos of the Lions.

“Lifestyle has given young people a voice to tackle issues they face through the project. It also provides them with confidence and raises their self-esteem to make a difference to the lives of others.”

Lisa Whitton of the Humberside Police Youth Engagement team added: “We are delighted to welcome the Lions back on board for Lifestyle 2015 and sincerely thank them for their support.

“So many of our local young people work incredibly hard over the summer holidays, keeping people safe and making a difference to their communities as a whole.

“It’s superb we are able to reward as many of them as possible for their efforts.”

Prizes will be presented to the winning teams at the prestigious Lifestyle Awards in November.
