Local lifesavers set to compete for England

Two local lifeguards have been selected to represent their country in the Commonwealth Lifesaving Championships in South Africa.

Tom Nelson and Simon Warne, who are both lifeguards at Rotherham Leisure Complex and Aston-cum-Aughton Leisure Centre, were selected to join the England squad at the end of September.

The young lifesavers are over the moon to be competing against the best in their discipline and are hoping to bring back a gold medal.
