Louth firm helps to raise hundreds for childrne's hospice

Jason Rix, owner of PP Tuning, based in Fusion Way on the Fairfield Industrial Estate, was delighted at the response to an online raffle to win a stainless steel exhaust.

The raffle raised £720 for St Andrew’s Children’s Hospice, which cares for youngsters with life-limiting illnesses across Lincolnshire.

Jason said that the tickets – 59 in total at £10 each – had sold much faster than he expected, adding that people continued to send in money to support the hospice even after all the tickets had been sold.

“My father supported St Andrew’s for many years, donating between £400 and £700 a year, through spiritual healing he performed.

“I was more than happy to follow in his footsteps. I will be looking to run another raffle later in the year to raise even more money.”

Jason thanked other businesses in Fusion Way – AL Mechanics, Four Woods, Jim Fairburn Ltd, The Tractor Shop, John Wild and Karl Clark – for contributing generously to the fundraiser.

Hospice representative ZaZa Warren said: “It was a pleasure to meet Jason and thank him in person for supporting the hospice.

“His thoughtful generosity makes such a difference and we couldn’t provide the free care we do without people like him.
