The Run for Life committee is holding one final sign up events in Louth before Sunday.

They will be at Lovelles Estate Agency, their main sponsor from 9.30am-12-30pm on Saturday (June 24).

The day starts with the junior run (under 12’s) which will commence at 10am, followed by the women’s 5km run at 10.30am and finally the men’s 5km run gets under way at 11.45am.

Everyone who finishes will receive a goodie bag and a commemorative medal.

Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your event is due to start. The town centre will be closed to all vehicles and diversions will be in place.

The junior course will start in Mercer Row, outside the CRUK shop.

The juniors will run down Eastgate before turning down Burnt Hill Lane and onto Queen Street and then Aswell Street. This leads right onto Kidgate and then right onto Upgate before heading back to the finish area in the Cornmarket.

The route for the senior races will be as in previous years, heading out of the town centre through the picturesque Hubbard’s Hills before heading back along Horncastle Road, and into the finish in the Cornmarket.

There will be warm up exercises before each race to get the runners in the mood.

Plus there will also be prizes for the best fancy dress in each race.

After the men’s run, the fun continues at The Kings Head Hotel, where there will be live music and a Hog Roast. Three bands will be playing throughout the afternoon from 1pm. Klout, Dukes De Luda and The Stolen Fridays, a great line up.

All monies raised will go to our total for Cancer Research UK.

The Run for Life committee would like to thank everyone for their continued support of the event.
