The group started as a reach out programme from Riverhead Mission Church in the 60s to support young wives, especially those whose husbands were in the RAF and met in each other’s homes.

As numbers increased, Louth Methodist Church was their new meeting place.

All ladies have been welcomed over the years, with the same hospitality still on offer today.

The ladies meet to enjoy a wide variety of talks from local history to food (with samples added in), crafts and lots more.

They also take part in annual visits, summer socials and fashion shows.

To mark the special anniversary, the group enjoyed a meal at Kenwick Golf Club.

The ladies meet in Hall 2 at Louth Methodist Church on alternate Wednesday evenings at 7.30pm.
