Louth refuse collector set to be guest of the Queen
An East Lindsey refuse collector will be a guest of the Queen later this year.
Louth-based Andy Warne has accepted an invitation to attend a Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace with his wife after being nominated by the district council.
Council leader Coun Craig Leyland told a full meeting of the authority: “Mr Warne uses a significant part of his leave each year to help run Louth’s Royal British Legion Remembrance Day celebrations, so I feel that he thoroughly deserves this opportunity.
“I hope that Mr Warne and his wife enjoy their visit.”
