Louth slimmer Kathy shines bright like a diamond!

Kathy Hart is a long standing member of the Meridian Slimming World group in the town and lost 2st 7lbs and achieved target in June 2012.

Even more impressively, she’s kept the weight off ever since.

Now Kathy has been named the group’s Diamond Member 2016.

The title is awarded to the group’s most inspirational member who has lost weight and maintained their new shape -an accomplishment that Slimming World believes is the most under-recognised achievement in weight management – as voted for by the slimmers in the group.

Kathy first decided to join Slimming World for health reasons as her mobility was severely curtailed owing to multiple sclerosis.

She said: “With Slimming World the support that I needed was there right from day one, both from my consultant Jane and the other members in the group.

“I picked up new ideas and recipes every week – I still do now, in fact. Then I really started to believe that I could do it even without being able to exercise strenuously.

“And I did, because four years later I’m still at my target weight.”

Since reaching her target weight, Kathy continues to attend the Slimming World group and believes without the constant support she would have struggled to keep the weight off.
