Louth teenager faces attempted murder trial

A 17-year-old youth from Louth has been remanded in custody as he awaits trial for a charge of attempted murder.

The youth appeared at Skegness Youth Court on Tuesday (May 31) following the alleged incident at a property in Bradley Close, Louth, on Saturday (May 28).

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, lives elsewhere in the town.

As reported previously, Lincolnshire Police were called to the property at around 3.20pm on Saturday.

Following his court appearance, the youth is now due to face a trial at Lincoln Crown Court on June 28.

He was remanded in custody at a youth detention centre until then, due to the severity of the allegations.

The alleged victim, a 19-year-old male, suffered a head injury which is not believed to be life-threatening.
