Louth woman, 24, banned for three years after drug-driving offences

The offence was committed on the A153 Boston Road, Horncastle, on March 30, when Hannah was caught driving with more than seven microgrammes of cannabis in her blood.

She was also separately charged for being in possession of an unknown quantity of cannabis at the time.

Hannah pleaded guilty to the two offences in court on July 5, and she was fined £110 for driving with cannabis in her system.

Hannah was disqualified from driving for 12 months, and she was also ordered to pay £85 in court costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

She faced no separate penalty for the charge of drug possession, and her quantity of cannabis was confiscated and destroyed under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

For a separate offence, Hannah appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court again on July 14, and faced a charge of driving with more than seven microgrammes of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in her blood in High Toynton on May 22.

She appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on July 14 to face the charge, and was banned from driving for three years as a result.

She was also handed a £50 fine and was ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge.
