Louth woman's marathon efforts helps her raise £4,400

Karen Needham,57, ran the marathon in a time of four hours and 36 minutes, running it all non-stop.

The running enthusiast ran London in memory of her sister Susan.

She comments on how the run went following the event.

“Running my first London Marathon was so much harder than I anticipated,” Karen said.

“My legs felt heavy from 13-miles, which made the following 13.2miles a struggle.

“But seeing numerous groups of friends and family along the route really helped, as did the fantastic support from the general public.”
