Lunchtime recitals in Louth's St James's

The series of lunchtime recitals continues through August in Louth's St James's Church.

The next one is this Friday, August 5, when organist Michael Nicholas will be performing.

Michael is one of the top organists in the country.

He was Organist of Norwich Cathedral and the Chief Executive of the Royal College of Organists.

Michael is also a former organist of St James’s, Louth, so will be well known to some local residents.

On August 12, there will be a double delight of music with soprano Isabel Chesman and countertenor David Whitworth performing, while the recital on August 19 will be particularly special, as it features pianist Amy Baker, a former Louth Young Musician of the Year.

Admission to the recitals is free, with a retiring collection.

Refreshments will be available before the recital at the church coffee shop.
