M1 CRASH UPDATE: Lanes between J26 and 27 now open but ‘delays will remain’

Notts Fire and Rescue Service have cleared the scene, moving the overturned car onto the hard shoulder to get traffic moving again.

However, motorists should be wary that delays will remain.

Highways England tweeted at approximately 9.30am: “The accident on the #M1 (N) J26 - J27 has now been cleared and all lanes are now open. Long delays remain btwn J25 and J26 however.”

A fire spokesman said: “Please be aware and drive safely.”
