On this year’s route, there was a new addition, which was at the Snack Shack, owned by Bobby Baldwin. There, was a fantastic display that used toilets. Plus there was also a seaside theme display using sand buckets as hanging baskets on the beach huts situated nearby.

Karen Froggatt from In Bloom said: “We would like to thank everyone who has supported the In Bloom campaign.

“We won’t find out how we have done until around September time, but fingers crossed we have got a good result this year.

“Plus I must say a big thank you to all those we were involved on the main judging day.”

The main focus for Mablethorpe now is Britain In Bloom, which they have been selected to take part in this year for the first time.

The judging day for that will take place on Tuesday, August 2.

Ms Froggatt added: “We now need to focus on the Britain in Bloom judging and hope that all businesses and residents in the High Street and Victoria Road will support us by ensuring outside their premises or home is weed and litter free.

“We really hope that everyone will get on board to ensure the judging goes well on August 2.”
