Thanks to the help of a new committee and a number of grants totalling £49,000 to improve the hall’s facilities, the building in Stanley Avenue is certainly here to stay, with no sign of closure in sight.

Treasurer for the Mablethorpe Community Hall committee Keith Pinion said: “The hall has come so far, especially during the last 14 months.

“We are now in a strong financial position and are still getting lots of bookings for use of the hall coming in on a regular basis.

“This community facility, here for the local residents to make use of, really is going from strength to strength.

“We hope for nothing but a bright future ahead of us.”

The building opened its doors for the first time in 2000 and is currently owned by East Lindsey District Council, but leased by Mablethorpe Town Council.

The hall is already well used by local groups such as Slimming World, Vitality, the annual jobs fair, blood donating and the Mablethorpe Art Group to name but a few.

It is even available for hire for use for private functions as well.

But the committee are now calling on residents to give them some extra help.

Many of the bookings taken by the hall mostly consist of being activity based.

Mr Pinion added: “It would be great to get a few younger helping hands at the hall to join us.

“A lot of the bookings we get at the hall include activities.

“So sometimes we just need to be getting equipment set up or getting lots of chairs out ready for the local group meets.

“So we would really appreciate anyone that could help us with some small jobs such as these.

“The more volunteers we have, the quicker these small tasks in hand get completed.

“Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

“We need all the extra help we can get to really push things forward for the positive future we have ahead of us.

“We would love to hear from you if you can help us out.”
