Major damage to Sleaford building after fire

A two-storey building in Lincoln Road, Sleaford, was severely damaged following a blaze which began late last night (February 29).

At 11.36pm yesterday, six appliances were in attendance. Fire crews used an aerial ladder platform, two main jets, two hose reels and two breathing apparatus to tackle the fire.

In an update at 5am this morning, Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue said that 80 per cent of the building had suffered severe fire damage, and the rest of the building had suffered water and smoke damage. There were no injuries.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
