Maltby man denies researching how to make bomb

A MALTBY man has denied researching how to make a bomb.

Nicholas Roddis, 26, pleaded not guilty at the Old Bailey today (Friday) to a charge of engaging in the preparation of an improvised explosive device.

Roddis, who appeared in court by video link, is allaged to have researched ingredients, equipment and sources using a computer at a local library between January and November 2011.

He was remanded in custody until his trial at Woolwich Crown Court on 14th January.

Mr Roddis was arrested by officers from the North East Counter Terrorism Unit in March.
