Man assaulted
Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted at around 11.30am on Sunday 2nd October in Sansfield Lane, between the junctions with Colville Terrace and Lewis Street.
A 28-year-old man was walking along the road when a white Ford Transit van pulled up, and two white men in their 20s, one stocky and one of medium build, got out and asked him for drugs before hitting him repeatedly with a metal spirit level. The victim’s elbow and several ribs were fractured. Anyone with info can call 0300 111 0300 or anonymously on 0800 555 111.
