Man found with drugs

A WORKSOP man was found with cannabis in his transit van, a court heard.

Ryan Martyn Lucas, 20, of Cavendish Road, admitted possession of the class B drug at Worksop Magistrates Court on Thursday.

The court heard he was seen by police in his van on 6th July on Hardwick Road.

When they approached the van they smelled cannabis and when they challenged him Lucas produced three small bags the drug, worth around £25.

He was fined £75 and ordered to pay £15 victim surcharge. The magistrates also ordered that the cannabis be destroyed.
