Man left seriously injured after Lincolnshire crash

A van driver has been left with serious injuries after he became trapped in his vehicle after colliding with a tree in Lincolnshire.

Emergency services were called to the B1398 at Ingham at about 6.40pm on Tuesday (January 19), after reports the blue Renault van had left the road and collided with a tree.

The driver was left trapped for a short while and then taken to Lincoln County Hospital and later transferred to Queen’s Medical Centre at Nottingham with serious injuries.

The man driving the van is believed to be in his thirties and from the Peterborough area.

Police are appealing to find anyone who was in the area around the time of the collision, and who might have seen it take place.

The road was re-opened at 12.30 on Wednesday, after the investigation and removal of the vehicle had taken place.
