Man swipes £30 bicycle

A 20-year-old Harworth man has been handed a three-month community order, including a two-month curfew, for taking a bicycle belonging to Center Parcs.

George Stables, from Baulk Lane, admitted to stealing the £30 bike between February and October of this year.

Worksop Magistrates’s Court heard how the defendant was walking back from a friend’s house when he came across the bike in a wooded area.

District Judge Diane Baker said: “He had no right to have that bike in your possession.”

Stables’ curfew is set from 8pm and 5pm, seven days a week starting from Monday 14th November.
