Man taken to hospital with serious injury after two vehicle crash on A17

Emergency services were called after a man was seriously injured in a collision between a car and a lorry on the A17 at Heckington last night (Thursday).

The incident happened around 8pm, involving an articulated lorry and a green Ford Focus .

The driver of the car, a 25 year old man, was taken to hospital with a serious injury, but this was not thought to be life changing or life threatening.

Firefighters from Sleaford used pop-up pools to contain a fuel spill from a lorry.

They then used Dammit Paste to stem the leaking diesel tank.
