Market Rasen police recover stolen hoard following a chase

Police have just released details of the incident, which saw them chase a suspected offender across a field, on Thursday.

The man escaped despite the efforts of officers and a police dog, but a police spokesman said: “Due to the awareness of the officers involved this did result in a large amount of stolen items being recovered and the vehicle was seized.”

The incident started with the officers finding the vehicle parked in what was described as “an isolated area” and that sparked a search.

Police say their investigations to identify the offender will now continue.
