The staff at the shopping centre have been raising money over the past 12 months through the wishing well at Marshall’s Yard which can be found in the fountain area and also through fundraising initiatives by the staff at DW Sports and Fitness.

Collections were also held at events such as the Christmas lights switch-on, Halloween and the Easter Eggstravaganza.

A further £460 has also been raised by centre manager, Alison Hall, who took part in Gainsborough’s 10k race.

She said: “We are so happy to present this cheque to the Air Ambulance, they provide such an important service which we’re delighted to support.”
