Marton kids turn pirate

IMAGINATIVE kids from Marton Primary School turned into pirates for the day for a special writing event.

They decided to have a pirate-themed writing day across the whole school in order to help inspire the kids to get their pens out.

A spokesman from the school said: “The children really enjoyed getting dressed up and came with their very own pirate names.”

“To help us with our writing, we invited the author Alex Keller to work with us on our our pirate adventure stories and was brilliant and gave us some really great ideas.”

The children in class 2 really enjoyed it.

Marton pupil Joseph said: “It was good that we had someone that was a real author and he gave us inspiration.”

He added: “If I don’t get to become a quad-biking professional then I want to become a writer!”
