It is thought one man was holding a knife, and another had a gun - possibly a rifle.

All three had their hoods up and their faces covered as they threatened shop workers in the terrifying ordeal.

They made off with cash, alcohol and cigarettes in a getaway vehicle which could have been a large dark-coloured car, possibly a Vauxhall Vectra with an 03 registration.

No-one was hurt in the incident.

Shop owner Irfan Ghani has told the Dinnington Guardian he will offer a £1,000 reward to anyone who provides information leading to a conviction.

All three men are described as being of thin build and in their late teens to early 20s.

They all varied in height. One was around 6ft 2ins, the second around 5ft 8ins and the third about 5ft 4ins tall.

Police believe they may have been loitering near the railway bridge on Station Road just before the incident.

They are urging anyone with information to come forward if they saw the robbery, the men near the bridge or the vehicle before or after the robbery.
