A film has been made showing the students learning how to read braille, how to guide blind people and trying to play games whilst blind folded.

Tom Allen, from North Notts Lions, said: “Hopefully the film can be shown in local schools with the main aims being to help students become aware of people who have either no sight or poor sight.”

The film also shows the choirs of Misterton School The Queen Elizabeth School and The National School for the Blind in Dharan in Nepal singing the Brian Adams song Everything I Do, I Do It For You.

Children are being encouraged to bring in any unwanted pairs of glasses from home so that the Lions can process and grade them and send them out to developing countries in the world.

The Lions are hoping to visit other schools in the area in the future to collect even more pairs of spectacles.
