Misterton: Winter wassail and carol service

Sunday saw musicians and singers braving the cold for the annual Winter Wassail, followed by the Village Carol Service in Misterton village.

Pictured above are the wassailers outside the home of Sid and Sylvia Burgess, which was once again decorated with a myriad of lights, with funds raised going to the local volunteers group the Five Villages First Responders.

The Wassail raised approaching £60 for the Parish Church and the collection at the Carol Service of almost £75 will go to help Syrian refugees.
