Mobile outreach post office service for communities

A mobile Post Office services is coming to three Sleaford area villages.

Digby, Kirkby-la-Thorpe and Walcott are to benefit from the introduction of the mobile service as the best possible solution following the current closures of their branches over recent years.

A postmaster from Coningsby will provide the service which already visits Anwick.

Services will include car tax, Euro/Dollar travel money and passport check and send.

Customers will also be able to collect benefits in cash through their banking service.

The new mobile service will commence from Monday ,November 28, calling opposite the church on Church Street, Digby, on Wednesday 10.15– 11.15am and Friday 12.45–1.45pm. It will be at the Queens Head Inn car park on Church Lane, Kirkby-la-Thorpe, on Friday 10.30–11.30am and at 70 High Street, Walcott, on Wednesday 9-10am and Friday 2-3pm.

The Anwick post office service will be reduced from five to three visits a week as a result.
