More than £2,000 donated to fund work of charity group

A charity supporting homeless and vulnerable individuals has received more than £2,000 from Marks & Spencer (M&S) in Boston.

Centrepoint Outpoint were chosen for the M&S charity partnership scheme so received the donation.

About £2,217 was raised through raffles, bag packing, and bring and buy sales.

Chris Bloor, store manager at M&S, said: “Colleagues at M&S Boston have dedicated time and energy over the past year to a cause which is close to their hearts. We are really pleased to know this money will help fund the charity’s amazing work carried out within local community.”

Elizabeth Hopkins, chief executive at Centrepoint Outreach, said: “We want to give huge thanks to the M&S Boston colleagues, customers and volunteers whose efforts have completely astounded us. The money will go a long way towards supporting the vital work we do for the homeless and vulnerable in Boston.”
