More than £3k to life-saving charity

The Rotary Club of Sleaford Kesteven has presented £3,400 to a life-saving charity in Lincolnshire.

The sum was raised through the organisation’s latest St George’s Day beer festival, held in St Denys’ Church Hall.

It has been donated to Lincolnshire Emergency Medical Response (LEMR), a charity made up of current or former members of the Armed Forces, who give up their time to man a rapid response ambulance on shifts lasting between six and eight hours.

The money will be used to pay for two new cardiopulmonary resuscitation aids and promotional equipment to assist the charity in its own fundraising.

More funds will be raised for charity at the 2016 St George’s Day Beer Festival on the weekend of April 23.
