Motorcyclist dies after collision between Louth and Horncastle

A motorcyclist in his 50s has died following a two-vehicle collision at the A153 Belchford crossroads, between Louth and Horncastle, this afternoon (Sunday).

The emergency services were called to the scene of the collision, between a Honda Jazz and a motorcycle, at around 2.05pm.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, was seriously injured in the incident, and police confirmed at around 8pm that he had sadly not survived his injuries.

The driver of the Honda Jazz, a woman in her 40s, was taken to hospital by air ambulance. No update on her condition has been made available at this stage.

The road was closed while police attended the scene, and officers would like to hear from anyone who has captured dash-cam footage of the collision.
