Motorcyclist killed in North Lincolnshire fatal road traffic collision

Police are appealling for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision that occurred at 7.20pm yesterday (Wednesday September 10) near to Pelham Farm on the B1211, Brocklesby Road, Ulceby in North Lincolnshire.

A green John Deere agricultural tractor and trailer was in collision with a black Suzuki GSX-R motorcycle.

The rider of the motorcycle, Richard John Markham, 44, of Walker’s Way in Ulceby, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The pillion passenger on the motorcycle, a 39-year-old woman from the Barrow area, was critically injured and is detained in Hull Royal Infirmary with life threatening injuries.

The 59-year-old local man who was driving the tractor suffered shock. He was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and later released on police bail until November.
