Motorcyclist taken to hospital after collision with deer

Police and an ambulance crew were called just after 7.50pm to the report of a collision between a motorcycle and a deer.

The incident is said to have happened on the A15 between Quarrington and Silk Willoughby about 300m from the Grantham Road as the male rider was heading towards Bourne, according to Lincolnshire Police.

The motorcyclist was taken to hospital with injuries not thought life threatening. The road was partially blocked while emergency services worked at the scene.

A police spokesman added: “The deer is reported to have got up and ran off the road.”
