Motorcyclist who died in crash at Keal Cotes named as Oakham man

A motorcyclist who died in a road accident at Keal Cotes, near Spilsby, last week has been named as Mark Wallace, from Oakham, Rutland.

Mr Wallace, 52, died after the white Suzuki motorcycle he was riding collided with a blue Rover 25 driven by a man from the Spilsby area, on the A16 near Keal Cotes.

Mark’s son, Sam, paid tribute to his father, saying: “He was a great dad, always there for me and he will be deeply missed.”

Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash.

Sgt Chris Dennett, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “We really need to speak to anyone who saw either vehicle travellling towards Keal Cotes prior to the collision, or the collision itself. I’d appeal to any witnesses to please get in touch.”
