Motorist dies in collision on Boardsides in Boston - two arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving

A man has died in a collision on a major route into Boston.

The 22-year-old died in the collision on the Boardsides (A1121) in the early hours of this morning (Saturday).

A police spokesman said the man was driving a grey Ford Focus and was travelling from the Bracebridge area of Lincoln with two other vehicles in convoy - a black Ford Focus and a black Ford Fiesta.

The collision was reported to police at 1.30am.

Two people, who were driving the other vehicles and aged 22 and 28, have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

There was a passenger in the grey Focus who sustained minor injuries.

Police are keen to speak with any motorists who were travelling between Lincoln and Boston at this time, or any witnesses to the collision itself.

Local road closures remain in place.
