Mum broke van window

A CRESWELL mother of five who smashed a van window claimed the owner had earlier made upsetting comments.

Jamie Nyland saw Sarah Fox’s daughter walk past his Ford Transit on 7th May and was told soon afterwards that a window was broken. Police then spoke to Fox, who admitted putting a brick through the window. Jon Barber, for Fox, alleged that Mr Nyland had said to Fox’s daughter that she ought to go and sit on her aunt’s grave. Fox, 35, of Hazelby Road, admitted damaging property and breaching a one-year conditional discharge for attempted shoplifting. She was ordered to pay £100 compensation with £85 costs.
