Mum takes a leap of faith for a good cause

A NORTH Anston mum will be celebrating Mother’s Day with a difference – by jumping out of a plane for charity.

Kay Piearcey is the branch co-ordinator of the Bassetlaw Branch of the NCT, the UK’s largest parenting charity.

As part of the charity’s Mother’s Day celebrations, NCT adrenaline junkies will be soaring above the clouds and taking in panoramic views at Skyline airfields around the UK.

Kay said: “It’s not every day you jump into thin air at 10,000ft.”

“I’m absolutely terrified, but it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and I’m raising money for a good cause.”

Wonu Owoade, community fundraising officer at NCT added: “We’re so thankful that our supporters are taking on an amazing challenge to raise essential funds for the charity. Their bravery will help us to support thousands of new and expectant parents across the UK.”
