Mummers raise cash

The Ranby House School Mummers Group celebrated its 24th year of operation by performing St. George and the Dragon.

The group performed the traditional Mummers’ play a total of seven times in support of Help for Heroes and raised £1,420 - a new record for the event.

The charity was chosen by the performers and performances were held at a number of private houses as well as the school.

The picture shows the children showing off their cheque as it was presented to Mrs J. Harris, one of the local representatives of Help for Heroes.

The money will go to support the most local project of the charity, the Personal Recovery Centre currently being developed at Catterick Garrison.
