THEFT

Wayne Barker, 54, of Nene Walk, Worksop. Stole steak, salmon and cheese, to the value of £30, belonging to Sainsbury’s. Also tole a quantitiy of USB drives, of a value unknown, belonging to WHSmith. Committed to prison for 140 days. Also ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £115.

Martin Hart, 26, of Doncaster Road, Langold. Entered B&Q in Worksop when prohibited from doing so under a antisocial behaviour order and stole two incinerator bins to the value of £42. Also failed to attend a follow-up assessment in relation to determine whether he had a dependency on Class A drugs. Committed to prison for two weeks.

ASSAULT

Louis Cook, 33, of Leverton Road, Retford. Assaulted a man thereby occasioning him actual bodily harm. Committed to prison for eight weeks suspended for 12 months. Also ordered to pay £85 in court costs and a surcharge to fund victim services of £115.

John Kinsella, 23, of Rampton Hospital, Retford. Assaulted a man by beating him. Ordered to pay compensation of £50.

Steven Dickson, 37, of No Fixed Address. In Worksop, without lawful excuse, damaged the wing mirror of a Renault Clio. Used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards a police officer. Community order made with drug rehabilitation requirement. Also ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £85.

MOTORING

Jacob Atkins, 20, of Holme Care Farm, Rhodesia. Drove a car on a road, namely Claylands Avenue, after smoking cannabis. Disqualified from driving for 12 months. Fined £120. Also ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £25 surcharge to fund victim services.

Karl Hughes, 29, of Cross Street, Langold. Drove a car, namely a Silver Ford Fiesta, on White Avenue after consuming so much alcohol that thye proportion of it in his breath, namely 71 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 mililitres of breath, exeeded the prescribed limit. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes in 100 mililitres of blood. Disqualified from driving for 18 months. Fined £300. Also ordered to pay court costs of £85 and a surcharge to to fund victim services of £30.

Adrian Tindall, 46, of Wharncliffe Road, Retford. Drove a car on Retford Road after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it his breath, namely 99 microgrammes in 100 mililitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit. Having been required to or on behalf of the chief officer of Nottinghamshire Police, failed to give information relating to the identity of a driver who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.
