Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II dies, Buckingham Palace confirms
Buckingham Palace has confirmed the sad news that Her Majesty The Queen has died today (Thursday September 8) at Balmoral Castle.
A tweet from The Royal Family confirmed that Her Majesty died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon.
The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.
We would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family at this sad time.
