New community shop is '˜helping people's lives'
A new community shop at the Gainsborough Uphill Community Centre has reopened after a period of four years without a tenant.
The store has been handed over to resident Eric Aldogan, pictured, who is using the store as a community convenience store selling bread, milk and other convenient products.
Eric said: “It’s been a long process to get here but we finally have our store. People have responded fantastically and I have had people hug me and say thank you for me being here as I’ve helped their lives.”
