Talking about why he wanted to work for the Trust he said: “My family live around here and so they use the services. Being a general manager is a job that always brings challenges, which is something I really relish and enjoy. What really attracted me to the Trust was that people here listen, they want to continually make improvements and they are patient focused.”

As general manager he is responsible for emergency medicine, oncology, cardiology, cardio-respiratory, diabetes, endocrinology, respiratory, rheumatology and stroke services across the Trust’s three hospitals in Grimsby, Scunthorpe and Goole.

Peter said: “I have been made to feel extremely welcome and I look forward to working with my colleagues in driving forward the quality agenda and making a real difference for the people who come through our doors in need of help.

“If people have to come into our hospitals it is about making their stay as pleasant and as easy as we can make it.”

Married with three children, Peter, who lives in Searby, enjoys golf, going to the gym, and supporting Blackpool football club in his spare time.
