The restaurant had been closed for a fortnight while the refurbishment took place, and the Tetney Rainbows were invited along to help cut the ribbon.
While the Jug and Bottle was closed, employees volunteered their time to help out at the Ark Animal Rescue and Retirement Home in North Somercotes.
The restaurant will also raise money for three different charities every 12 weeks -ranging from national charities to local good causes - with every customer being given the option to choose how the money should be distributed.
Manager Fiona Laws said: “We definitely want to be the charity and community hub in our village of Holton le Clay.
“We’ve chosen charities which are close to our hearts, and our main charity will be, as always, When You Wish Upon A Star - who we raised over £5,000 for last year.
“Our aim this year is to raise £10,000 for the charities that we have chosen.”
The brand new pizza kitchen serves everything from ‘traditional’ pizzas to more experimental options (such as fishfinger, duck and hoisin, and all-day breakfast pizzas), and the carvery is still there to serve up the ever-popular roast dinners alongside the classic food menu.
There is also a new children’s play area and refurbished beer garden, and there will be plenty of fun days and activities taking place in due course.
