New Post Office outreach service in Walkeringham

Following a period of public consultation Post Office Ltd have decided to relocate Post Office services from Walkeringham Post Office to new premises where the new branch will operate as a Hosted Outreach Service.

The present Walkeringham Post Office, North Moor Road, Walkeringham, will close at 12.30pm on Monday April 1.

The new branch at Walkeringham Village Hall, Stockwith Road, will open at 9am on Tuesday April 2 and operate two sessions every week. These will be from 9am to 1pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Post Office Field Change Advisor Adrian Paling said: “Our priority is to safeguard sustainable Post Office services in the longer term and establishing this replacement Hosted Outreach Service presents the best possible solution that will allow us to maintain access to Post Office services for the local community in Walkeringham.”
