The first part of the Lincolnshire Minerals and Waste Local Plan, the CSDMP sets out the key principles to guide the future winning and working of minerals and the form of waste management development in the county up to 2031.
It also sets out the development management policies against which planning applications for minerals and waste development will be considered.
The adoption follows a public examination of the document by an independent inspector appointed by the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government. The inspector concluded that, with the incorporation of the modifications proposed by the council during the examination, the document is sound and legally compliant.
Coun Colin Davie, Executive Member for Planning, said: “The CSDMP will make sure that all future mineral extraction and waste management activities are carried out in a sustainable way, protecting both the environment and local communities.”
